What if they won't take it?

Donation services have limits. We don't.

The orgs above all have rules about what they'll haul and where they'll go. PoofHaul fills the gap when the answer is no.

  • Mattresses, broken furniture, damaged appliances
  • Mixed loads, some donatable, some plain trash
  • Outside the donation pickup zones in your area
  • Need it gone today, not three weeks from Thursday

Common questions

Can I donate a mattress?
Almost no donation service will take a used mattress. The handful of Furniture Bank member sites that sanitize are the exception. Most folks end up calling a hauler for the mattress and donating the rest.
Does Goodwill pick up furniture?
Most Goodwill locations are drop-off only. A few regional Goodwills offer pickup. The locator on goodwill.org/locator will tell you what your local store does.
What's the difference between donation pickup and junk removal?
Donation pickup is free, but the org chooses what they'll take and when they'll come. Junk removal is paid, but a hauler shows up on your timeline and clears everything in the load, not just the donatable parts.
What if half my stuff is donatable and half is junk?
You have two options. Schedule a donation pickup for the good stuff and a hauler for the rest, or skip the split and have one hauler take everything in one trip. Mixed-load haulers will often donate the good items themselves.
